Shot in Africa over a period of four years, this award winning documentary will appeal to the entire family. Combining comical sound effects, great music and a narrative that assigns human characteristics to animals going about their daily lives, this film educates in the most entertaining way.
I originally saw this in the 1970's and viewed it again recently. Finding it has stood the test of time, I have added it to my personal collection.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie.
I didn't expect to see it here but just seeing it listed made my day brighter.
Did I say I loved this movie?
Ooooh this sounds delightful! I will definitely track this one down.
ReplyDeleteI hope you two girls do watch this film again or for the first time. You definitely will be enchanted.
ReplyDeleteI actually rented it a couple of times from Blockbuster- it is free to rent. I had to make sure Kyle saw it since I believe that no one should have to go through life without seeing it at least once. We both LOVE that movie.
ReplyDeleteErin, Scott and I just watched it last night (Erin's first time seeing it). Every new scene I kept thinking, "Oh, this is my favorite part!") Just an absolutely charming film that is getting better with age in my opinion because the narration and some of the music gives it such a retro 70's feel that makes it even funnier now.
ReplyDeleteI am waiting for Netflix to deliver "The Gods Must Be Crazy" by the same director. If I still enjoy it, I'll be writing about it soon.
